How Folsom junk removal pricing works
You pay for the space your load takes up, not for each item. Junk goes into our 15 cubic yard trailer, and most jobs use only part of it, so a few pieces aren't priced like a full trailer.
- Half a 15-yard trailer $500; full 15-yard trailer $900. The price reflects how much space your junk fills.
- $150 minimum. That is the smallest job we bill.
- Loading and labor included. Nothing needs to be moved to the curb.
- No item-specific surcharges. No add-on fees per appliance, mattress or piece of furniture.
We give you a price for your specific job first, and nothing is loaded until you have agreed to it.
Get your price by text
- Text 2 to 3 photos of the pile to (916) 878-0304: one wide shot, plus close-ups of any large items.
- Tell us where it is (garage, backyard, spare room) and where in Folsom you are.
- We give you a price for your load, based on the space it takes up, with the $150 minimum.
- Pick a time that works for you. We do all the loading.
- We haul it away and recycle what we reasonably can.
What we haul in Folsom
Folsom has a lot of families moving in and out and a lot of newer homes being finished out, so moves and upgrades drive many of our jobs here.
- Moving cleanouts: what's left after packing, or what's left behind in a home you bought.
- Furniture and mattress removal, including sectionals and bedroom sets.
- Appliance removal after kitchen and laundry upgrades.
- Garage cleanouts.
- Backyard projects: old patio furniture, play sets (taken apart) and yard debris.
- Remodel debris: drywall, wood and flooring.
- Electronic waste: TVs, computers and monitors.
Hot tubs, mattresses and the awkward stuff in Folsom
A lot of Folsom backyards were built around a spa, and a lot of those spas are now dead weight on the patio. We remove hot tubs, including cutting them down when they won’t fit through a side gate, and we take mattresses and box springs with no per-item surcharge. Both are priced the same way as everything else: by how much of our 15-yard trailer the load fills. See hot tub removal for what to do before we arrive (power off at the breaker, water drained).
- Spas and hot tubs: disconnected and drained, on a deck, patio or slab.
- Mattresses and box springs: any size, any condition. See our mattress disposal guide if you’d rather drop one off yourself.
- Exercise equipment: treadmills, ellipticals, home gyms, taken apart when needed.
- Sheds and playsets: once they are disassembled.
- Pianos and gun safes: we take them โ see piano removal and gun safe removal. Call first so we can bring the right crew.
What we cannot take
Paint, solvents, gasoline, hazardous waste, car batteries, railroad ties and telephone poles. Not sure about something in your pile? Call or text (916) 878-0304 before the appointment and we'll tell you.
Folsom disposal rules
The City of Folsom runs its own household hazardous waste programs for residents inside city limits, including door-to-door HHW pickup on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Schedule it through the City's Waste Wizard or by calling 916-461-6730.
The City asks residents not to show up at its HHW facility without arranging a drop-off first. If you're moving, the City suggests booking an HHW pickup ahead of time, since most movers can't transport it.
We can't take paint, solvents, gasoline, hazardous waste or car batteries. Use the City's HHW service for those and we'll take the rest.
Folsom’s free bulky pickup, or us?
Single-family homes inside Folsom city limits can book up to three free Bulky Waste Pickup appointments a year through the City, each up to five cubic yards, and the City notes there can be a wait for a date (City of Folsom). If your item qualifies and you can wait, that is a good deal. We make more sense when:
- you have more than five cubic yards, or several rooms’ worth;
- the items are still inside, upstairs or in the back corner of the garage, and you don’t want to carry them to the curb;
- you live in an apartment or condo, or it’s a business address (the City program is for single-family homes);
- you’re working to a closing date and can’t wait for the next open appointment.
HOA neighborhoods: Empire Ranch, Folsom Ranch, Broadstone and Briggs Ranch
Many Folsom subdivisions, including Empire Ranch south of Highway 50 and the newer Folsom Ranch (Mangini Ranch, Russell Ranch) phases, are run by homeowners associations whose rules usually limit how long bulky items can sit at the curb or in view of the street. Because we carry items straight from the garage, yard or room to our trailer, nothing waits on the curb for days. Gated communities: give us the gate code or tell the guard we’re coming when you book. Older areas like Briggs Ranch, Broadstone and the streets around Historic Folsom often have narrower driveways; our trailer parks on the street for a short time while we load.
Where Folsom loads go
Folsom junk loads go to Kiefer Landfill at 12701 Kiefer Blvd. in Sloughhouse, open 6:30 a.m.โ4:30 p.m. weekdays and 8:30 a.m.โ4:30 p.m. weekends, or to the North Area Recovery Station. Both are in Sacramento County (Sacramento County). Metal and appliances go to scrap recycling where possible. If you’d rather haul a small load yourself, Kiefer accepts the public, and you don’t have to be a county resident.

- Send photos. Text 2โ3 photos to (916) 878-0304 and include your cross street (for example, near East Bidwell and Iron Point).
- Get the price. $150 minimum, $500 for half of our 15-yard trailer, $900 for a full one. Those are the only three tiers.
- We arrive and confirm. We look at the pile, confirm the tier, and only then start loading.
- We load, sweep and go. You point; we carry. Leftover dust in the garage gets a broom.

Same-day junk removal
Same-day junk removal may be available depending on the schedule. Call or text (916) 878-0304 to check availability.
What happens to your junk
We recycle material when possible instead of sending everything straight to the landfill. What can be recycled depends on the load and on what local facilities accept that day.
