When we drive away with your junk or pick up a full dumpster, it doesn’t just disappear. Placer Dumpster Rental and Junk Removal is a family-owned company in Rocklin, and we take loads to two Sacramento County facilities: Kiefer Landfill and the North Area Recovery Station.
First, we recycle what we can
We recycle material when possible instead of sending everything straight to the landfill. What can be recycled depends on what is in the load and on what local facilities accept that day. Clean, separated loads give material the best chance of being reused. That’s why clean concrete, dirt, asphalt and brick go in our dedicated concrete and dirt dumpster instead of a mixed load.
The North Area Recovery Station
The North Area Recovery Station is a Sacramento County solid waste facility and one of the two places our loads go.
Kiefer Landfill
Kiefer Landfill is Sacramento County’s landfill and the other place our loads go.
What we can’t take, and where it should go
Paint, solvents, gasoline, hazardous waste, car batteries, railroad ties and telephone poles can’t go in our trailers. In Placer County, household hazardous waste can go to the WPWMA. See our hazardous waste and e-waste guide for local options, and the mattress disposal guide for free drop-off choices.
How you can help
- Keep yard waste separate where you can. See yard waste rules.
- Donate usable furniture before the pickup if you have time.
- Tell us what is in the pile when you text photos, so we can plan the load.
Book junk removal or a dumpster
