Twelve Bridges and Lincoln Crossing are Lincoln’s two big family-oriented master-planned neighborhoods near Highway 65. Twelve Bridges is known for its parks, trails and schools. Lincoln Crossing has its private club with pools and fitness facilities. Much of the housing in both was built from the early 2000s onward, and many of those homes are now due for their first roof, fence, deck and landscape replacements. Permits and HOAs in Lincoln
On your own driveway, side yard or anywhere on your private property, the City of Lincoln does not require a permit. If the container goes on the street where you would park your car, you need a City encroachment permit: an application, proof of insurance (the container company’s certificate, or your homeowner’s policy declaration page), and a $94 fee, submitted to Lincoln Engineering. Some homes in these neighborhoods are in HOAs and some aren’t. If yours is, the HOA’s rules are separate from the City’s, so check your CC&Rs or management company before the delivery date.
City bins vs. a private dumpster
The City of Lincoln rents temporary 3-yard bins to residents with an active utility account. That’s a good fit for a small cleanup. For anything bigger, our boxes start at 10 yards, about 4 pickup truck loads. They also take construction debris, and the heavy-material box takes soil and concrete.
