Every rental includes delivery, pick-up and 1 ton of disposal. Extra weight is $110 per additional ton, prorated. Extra days are $50 each through day 5 and days 6-7 add nothing, which is handy for weekend-warrior projects that spill into the next weekend.

Which size for yard work?

A small landscaping job or yard debris cleanup is usually a 10 yard. Its compact footprint fits on a standard driveway without blocking the garage. A simple rule of thumb: count how many pickup truck loads you would haul yourself, then round up. 3 to 4 loads, go 10 yard. 5 loads, go 12 yard. 6 or more, go 15 yard. If you are between sizes, the larger one is usually cheaper than ordering a second delivery.

What goes in a yard waste dumpster

Our dumpsters accept yard waste along with household junk and general cleanout materials. Typical yard debris includes:

  • Branches and brush
  • Leaves and grass clippings
  • Shrubs and hedge trimmings
  • Old fencing, lumber and other wood from the yard

What does not go in

Dirt, sod, rock, gravel, decomposed granite, concrete pavers and masonry are never allowed in a standard dumpster. Dense material like that can put a box over its weight allowance while it still looks half full.

If your landscaping project includes digging out soil or breaking up a patio, use our concrete and dirt dumpster for that part of the job: $399 the first day, with a 5 cubic yard load limit and no dump fees. It takes one approved clean material per load (clean dirt, clean concrete, clean asphalt or masonry brick), and green waste is not allowed in the heavy-material box. Gravel, rock or decomposed granite? Call or text us first.

Also not accepted: hazardous materials, chemicals, paint, batteries and tires. See our terms for the full list.

Rather not load it yourself?

If you would rather have someone else do the lifting, our junk removal service hauls yard debris too. It is priced by volume, with a $150 minimum, $500 for half of our 15-yard trailer and $900 for a full trailer, and loading is included. We give you a price before anything is loaded.

Driveway-friendly placement

Our dumpsters are about 7 feet wide and designed for residential driveways. Keeping the box on your own driveway generally means you will not need a permit. See permit rules by city if it has to go in the street.
