Junk Removal in Sacramento, CA

Sacramento junk removal where we do the loading. We carry it out of the house, apartment, garage or backyard and haul it away. Placer Dumpster Rental and Junk Removal is a family-owned company based in Rocklin, and our service area covers Sacramento along with the rest of Sacramento County. Junk removal is priced with a $150 minimum, and labor is included. We answer the phone 7:00am to 9:00pm, seven days a week.

How Sacramento junk removal pricing works

You pay for the space your load takes up, not for each item. Junk goes into our 15 cubic yard trailer, and most jobs use only part of it, so a few pieces aren't priced like a full trailer.

  • Half a 15-yard trailer $500; full 15-yard trailer $900. The price reflects how much space your junk fills.
  • $150 minimum. That is the smallest job we bill.
  • Loading and labor included. Nothing needs to be moved to the curb.
  • No item-specific surcharges. No add-on fees per appliance, mattress or piece of furniture.

We give you a price for your specific job first, and nothing is loaded until you have agreed to it.

Get your price by text

  1. Text 2 to 3 photos of the pile to (916) 878-0304: one wide shot, plus close-ups of any large items.
  2. Tell us where it is (garage, backyard, spare room) and where in Sacramento you are.
  3. We give you a price for your load, based on the space it takes up, with the $150 minimum.
  4. Pick a time that works for you. We do all the loading.
  5. We haul it away and recycle what we reasonably can.

What we haul in Sacramento

Sacramento has everything from older bungalows in East Sacramento and Land Park to Midtown apartments and newer homes in Natomas, so jobs vary a lot.

  • Apartment and rental turnovers: clearing a unit between tenants for property managers and landlords.
  • Furniture and mattress removal, including from upstairs units.
  • Appliance removal: refrigerators, washers, dryers and dishwashers.
  • Garage and backyard cleanouts in older neighborhoods with detached garages.
  • House, estate and hoarder cleanouts, room by room.
  • Remodel debris from updating older homes: drywall, wood and flooring.
  • Electronic waste: TVs, computers and monitors.

What we cannot take

Paint, solvents, gasoline, hazardous waste, car batteries, railroad ties and telephone poles. Not sure about something in your pile? Call or text (916) 878-0304 before the appointment and we'll tell you.

Sacramento disposal rules for hazardous items

City of Sacramento residents can drop off household hazardous waste at the Sacramento Recycling & Transfer Station, 8491 Fruitridge Road. HHW hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 8am to 5pm.

Sacramento County also runs a free HHW drop-off at the North Area Recovery Station, 4450 Roseville Road in North Highlands (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 8:30am to 4pm; up to 15 gallons or 125 pounds per month).

We can't take paint, solvents, gasoline, hazardous waste or car batteries, so take those to one of these facilities.

Apartments, alleys and street parking

In denser neighborhoods we may need to park on the street or use an alley. Let us know about stairs, elevators, gate codes or parking limits when you text photos. A junk pickup also means no container sitting on the street. If you'd rather load a dumpster yourself, see Sacramento dumpster rental and check the city's rules for street placement first.

See Sacramento dumpster rental, our dumpster pricing, or the concrete and dirt dumpster for heavy material.

Same-day junk removal

Same-day junk removal may be available depending on the schedule. Call or text (916) 878-0304 to check availability.

What happens to your junk

We recycle material when possible instead of sending everything straight to the landfill. What can be recycled depends on the load and on what local facilities accept that day.
