Full-service junk removal: we do the lifting
For most Sun City Lincoln Hills residents, junk removal is the easiest option:
- We carry everything out and load it. You don’t have to move anything to the curb.
- Priced by volume (the space it takes up in our 15 cubic yard trailer) with three prices: $150 minimum, $500 for half our 15-yard trailer, $900 for a full trailer
- Labor included, with no item-specific surcharges for furniture, mattresses or appliances
- A price before we load, so there are no surprises
We take sofas, recliners, beds and mattresses, dressers, refrigerators, washers and dryers, TVs and computers, garage and storage-room contents, patio furniture, yard debris, and full house and estate cleanouts.
Or rent a dumpster for a sorting weekend
| Size | Dimensions | First day | Holds about |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 yard | 10×7×4 ft | $399 | 4 pickup loads |
| 12 yard | 12×7×4 ft | $449 | 5 pickup loads |
| 15 yard | 12×7×5 ft | $499 | 6 pickup loads |
Every rental includes delivery, pick-up and 1 ton of disposal. Extra weight is $110 per ton, prorated. Extra days are $50 each, and a full 7-day dumpster rental is $599 (10 yard), $649 (12 yard) or $699 (15 yard).
For a full-house clearout, the 15 yard is the usual choice.
Community rules and City permits
Sun City Lincoln Hills has its own community association and architectural review process, and association rules are separate from City rules. Check with the association before placing a dumpster. Junk removal leaves nothing on the driveway, so it avoids the question entirely.
On your own driveway, side yard or anywhere on your private property, the City of Lincoln does not require a permit. If the container goes on the street where you would park your car, you need a City encroachment permit: an application, proof of insurance (the container company’s certificate, or your homeowner’s policy declaration page), and a $94 fee, submitted to Lincoln Engineering. See our permit rules by city guide.
Where the hazardous items go
We can’t take paint, solvents, gasoline, hazardous waste or car batteries. Lincoln residents have two convenient options:
- Free Wednesday curbside pickup of universal waste (batteries, fluorescent tubes, electronics, oil and filters, cooking grease) from City of Lincoln Public Works. Call (916) 434-2450 to book.
- Free household hazardous waste drop-off at the Western Placer Waste Management Authority, 3195 Athens Avenue in Lincoln, daily 8am–5pm, up to 15 gallons or 125 pounds per visit.
WPWMA also accepts up to four mattresses and box springs per day from California residents for free, if you’d rather haul one yourself.
Helping families from out of town
Adult children often coordinate a parent’s move from a distance. Send photos by text and we will walk you through the job and the price.
