Common North Roseville projects and the size to pick

Most of this area was planned under City specific plans adopted between 1989 and 1997, so a lot of the housing here is now a couple of decades old or more. That tends to bring the same handful of jobs:

  • First big remodel. Original kitchens, bathrooms, flooring and builder-grade cabinets get replaced. One kitchen or one or two baths usually fits a 12 yard dumpster.
  • Whole-floor updates. Carpet, pad and baseboards from several rooms, or a kitchen plus flooring, call for the 15 yard dumpster: same footprint as the 12, one foot taller.
  • Garage and closet purges. A 10 yard dumpster is a common pick for a single garage. If you would rather not carry anything, our garage cleanout crew loads it for you.
  • Backyard refresh. Old fencing, a worn-out play structure, shrubs and branches can share a standard dumpster. Soil, sod and concrete have to go in our separate concrete and dirt dumpster instead.

Still between sizes? The dumpster size guide walks through it project by project, or text us a photo of the pile.

Driveway placement tips

All three sizes are about 7 feet wide and 10 to 12 feet long, built for a residential driveway. A few tips:

  • Measure the flat part of the driveway, not the whole length. Leave room to open the garage and to walk past to the front door.
  • Watch for low branches and wires. Our driver needs clear space overhead to set the dumpster down.
  • Tell us about slopes, courts and shared driveways when you book, so neighbors can still get out.
  • Keep it off the sidewalk. The City of Roseville requires an encroachment permit only when a dumpster sits on a public street. Our permit rules by city guide explains the process.

HOAs and neighborhood associations

Groups like the Highland Reserve and Kaseberg-Kingswood neighborhood associations are volunteer members of the Roseville Coalition of Neighborhood Associations (RCONA). They are not homeowners associations and they do not set dumpster rules. Some North Roseville streets also have an HOA, and HOA rules are separate from City rules. If you have one, check your CC&Rs or ask the management company whether a dumpster needs approval and how long it may stay, then book inside that window.
