Clearing out a loved one’s home is a hard job, practically and emotionally. There is usually a deadline, a house full of belongings, and family members who live out of town. Placer Dumpster Rental and Junk Removal is a locally owned, owner-operated business in Rocklin that handles estate and whole-house cleanouts across South Placer and Sacramento counties. There are two ways to do it, and we will help you pick the one that fits.

Option 1: Full-service estate cleanout (we do the loading)
This is our junk removal service at whole-property scale. You show us what needs to go, and we carry it out, load it and haul it away. We handle full garage, house, estate and hoarder cleanouts, emptying a property room by room. Jobs are usually handled by the owner, with extra help brought in for larger cleanouts.
How pricing works:
- Priced by volume, meaning the space your items actually take up in our 15 cubic yard trailer
- $150 minimum
- $500 for half of our 15-yard trailer
- $900 for a full 15-yard trailer
- Loading and labor included. Nothing has to be moved to the curb.
- No item-specific surcharges, so there are no add-on fees per appliance, mattress or piece of furniture
- You get a price first, and nothing is loaded until you agree to it
We take household contents, furniture (sofas, mattresses, tables, dressers), appliances (refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers), electronics (TVs, computers, monitors, printers), garage clutter and yard debris. We recycle material when possible rather than sending everything to the landfill.
Option 2: Rent a dumpster and clear it at your own pace
If the family wants to sort through belongings over several days, a dumpster in the driveway is often the better fit. The 15 yard dumpster is the usual choice for whole-home and estate cleanouts:

A 7-day dumpster rental is never more than $599 (10 yard), $649 (12 yard) or $699 (15 yard), with delivery, pick-up and 1 ton of disposal included.

Which option is right?
Choose junk removal when you want someone else to do the lifting, you want everything gone in one visit, or no one in the family can safely move heavy furniture.
Choose a dumpster when relatives are sorting keepsakes over a week, the work will happen in stages, or the volume is large enough that a container on site is simply practical.
Some families do both: a dumpster for the sorting phase, and junk removal at the end for the heavy pieces.
What we cannot take
For junk removal: paint, solvents, gasoline, hazardous waste, car batteries, railroad ties and telephone poles. Dumpster rentals also exclude chemicals, batteries, tires and appliances containing Freon. If you are unsure about something in the house, call or text and ask before the appointment.
